Terms of Reference

The Forum Link Project aims to:

• Act as a support organisation for HIV Positive Patient Forums
• Encourage and support the development of new HIV Positive Patient led groups across the UK
• Provide basic Internet services such as email lists, email addresses, online resources and web space free of charge to new and existing HIV Positive Patient led groups across the UK
• Provide guidance on 'Best Practice' for use by HIV Positive Patient Forums.
• Through the provision of dedicated internet services such as the organisation's web site and private and public email lists the project will support its member groups and develop discussions and protocols.
• Engage with Legislators and Policy Makers, Commissioners, Primary Care Trusts, Service Providers and Patients to develop the provision of health and social services that best meet the needs of the HIV positive community in the UK.
• The project will act on behalf of its members regardless of Race, Gender, Age, Religion, Sexual Preferences, Geographical Location, Immigration Status or Treatment Status.
• The project will act in unison on those issues, agreed by the membership, that have a common or national interest.
